About Us

The Lift Closet exists to make it effortless for gym-goers to discover and shop the best lifting apparel across today's top training brands — all curated in one place, backed by real recommendations instead of guesswork.

We personally review every brand and product we feature. This started because we were tired of bouncing between a dozen different websites just to find gym clothes that actually hold up — so we built one place to do it instead.

We never hold inventory or mark up prices. Every purchase completes directly on the brand's own site, at their price — we're simply the curated starting point.

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 12, 2026

The Lift Closet (theliftcloset.com) is an independent storefront that curates gym apparel and supplements from other brands. We don't sell anything ourselves, we don't take payments, and you don't need an account to use the site. This page explains the little we do collect and what happens when you click through to a brand.

What we collect

• Reviews you submit. When you leave a review we receive the star rating, your review text, the name you choose to show, and the product and colour you reviewed. Submissions go to our form provider (Netlify) so we can check them before they're published. We don't ask for your email address. Approved reviews appear on the site with the name you gave.
• Your bag. Items you add to your bag are saved only in your own browser (local storage) so they're still there when you come back. They never leave your device until you choose to check out, at which point the items are handed to the brand's store.
• Standard server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider (Netlify) records basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure. We don't run analytics or advertising trackers on the site.
• Anonymous view counts. We count how often each product is viewed using a simple counter service. The count holds no personal information, though the counter service, like any server your browser contacts, receives your IP address with the request.
• Live prices. Your browser fetches current prices directly from each brand's own store so what you see is up to date. The brand's store sees that request the same way it would see a visit to its site.

Affiliate links and cookies

We earn a commission when you buy through our links; it doesn't change the price you pay. When you click through to a brand or check out, you leave our site, and the brand or its affiliate network (for example, Impact for 1st Phorm) may set cookies in your browser so the sale can be credited to us. Those cookies belong to them and are covered by their privacy policies. We receive reports showing order totals and commission; we never receive your name, address or payment details. We don't set tracking or advertising cookies ourselves.

Checkout and payment

Every order is placed and paid for on the brand's own website, under that brand's privacy policy and terms. We never see or store payment information. Our shop on Instagram and Facebook works the same way: purchases still complete on the brand's site.

Children

The site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

• Clear your bag at any time by removing items, or by clearing your browser's site data.
• If you'd like a review you submitted removed or changed, email us and we'll take care of it.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Questions go to theliftcloset@gmail.com.
